Question by the optimist: Would republicans rather work for slave wages before they would admit unions are beneficial?
Labor unions are the subject of much controversy in the United States. To some extent, this is due to a lack of information about the benefits that a union provides to employers and employees. A labor union is an organization of workers whose purpose is to negotiate with employers for better wages, safer working conditions, and fair treatment. Unions exist to make life better for employees, but they also provide benefits to employers.

Question by sam A: Which independent and dependent variables would be best in measuring managers’ skills of negotiation?
I am trying to do a research on how manager’s negotiation skills (or having taken negotiation classes or courses) might affect firm profits, and i am having a really hard time coming up with the research model (such as the dependent and independent variables).

I was asked to join the leadership board of a business that is having financial problems because they felt my point of view would be valuable. A facilitator was hired to assist the board in defining values, goals, and formulating a plan to move the business forward.

The facilitator established a rule that all of us (24) had to agree unanimously before we could move forward on any plan. After five hours of negotiations, we voted. Everyone voted yes, except me. I voted no because voting yes violated my conscience, my ethics, and my vision for what I think is best, and I care very much about this business and what it is trying to do.

The President of the PA Mahmud Abbas passed to the American envoy the document which contains the previous conditions for the direct talks. For those who do not know the importance of the “previous conditions”, a brief explanation.
If one side accepts the talks with “previous conditions”, it means that these “previous conditions” are accepted a priori and will not even be included in the agenda of the talks. The other side has the right and possibility to increase its demand in the course of the negotiations.
Let´s see what these “previous conditions” Arabs put are.
1.The time table of the talks must be limited by three months.
2.Israel must accept the right of return of the unlimited number of the “Palestinian refugees” to the West Bank
3.The UNIFIL contingent must be deployed at the territory of the PA,
but its functions will be only the border guarding and the passport control

4.The “Sacred for Islam” places in the Old Quarter of Jerusalem must pass under the jurisdiction of the PA. The Jewish quarter of Jerusalem and the Kotel will stay under the protectorate of Israel(not under the jurisdiction of Israel, but only under its protectorate).
5.The capital of the “Palestinian state” must be transferred to the Eastern Jerusalem.

I’m trying to think of unique PR / publicity opportunities for her – aside from national and trade press, business TV and radio, etc. what inventive and imaginative PR opportunities do you think could be applied to her publicity strategy?

regarding the negotiation process of Pac Mayweather and state that all points of contention had been AGREED to (drug testing protocal, purse split, etc.) and implicate Ross Greenburg, arguably one of the most powerful men in boxing (President of HBO Sports)? To me, that would be an idiot move and a horrible business decision as Arum wouldn’t want to piss of Greenburg by lying and implicating Greenburg, as Greenburg decides who’s fighting on HBO and who isn’t. Obviously, the media can also verify these statements by Arum by checking with Greenburg.

So do you honestly feel that the negotiations fell apart due to drug testing protocal or purse split? I personally feel that Floyd feels that Pac is his biggest challenge and he doesn’t want to commit without knowing what’s gonna happen with Uncle Roger, which is a reasonable.

But you’ve got some concrete lower bound in mind; some minimum deal where, if he insists on offering you something less awesome than X, then no deal. What’s the least you would trade your soul to the devil for?
